Q: May I know what I have to do actually in Ghost-writing? Is it SURVEY? Mail Order-Promotion? Something else? May I know my ROLE? How & why do I get money?
With regards,
Dr. KrishnaSankar Ganguly
Dr. Sankar,
A ghostwriter is basically a freelance writer who writes articles etc for others and gets paid for them. My website http://www.ghostwritinguncovered.com explains more about this.
I see that you are a Doctor and this could be extremely useful if you were interested in ghostwriting and there are many calls for those in the medical field to ghostwrite reports etc on medical issues. Elance is a great place to start and there is a full description of how to join this website and bid on writing projects in my Ghostwriting Uncovered E-book http://www.ghostwritinguncovered.com/sl.html If this is something that you think you may be serious about then I urge you to buy this ebook. It will take you from the beginning right through to managing a successful ghostwriting career. You could also subscribe to my Ghostwriting Uncovered Newsletter where you will receive a free 5 day e-course on Article writing and regular updates and information on ghostwriting.
Below is an extract of some ghostwriting jobs in the medical sector that I received today so that you can see exactly what is being offered
Freelance Medical Copy Editor - Contract (Comp: Send rates) (Northwest Chicago Suburbs) job-327616287@craigslist.org : http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/wri/327616287.html
Date: 2007-05-09, 2:16PM CDT Medical society looking for a freelance medical editor to copy edit 400-500 page books (organized by chapter). Must have familiarity with and access to the 10th edition, AMA Manual of Style. The next project is available immediately. Compensation and further details to be discussed going forward. Please reply with your resume and rates.
Freelance Male Health Writer (Comp: Based on experience, paid upon publication) (telecommute) brandt.quinn@gpppubs.com : http://desmoines.craigslist.org/wri/327500575.html
Date: 2007-05-09, 11:43AM CDT I need a male writer with experience writing about health issues generally, and more particulary, those pertaining to men. This is a national health magazine published by Gannett and pay is very competitive. Content of this magazine is taken seriously, so “Cliff-Note” writers need not apply. I am looking for someone with a knack for finding new and interesting information as well as possibly generating story ideas independently. Writer needs to have an original voice with clips to back up this claim. Article will include obtaining interviews with nationally recognized doctors, scientists and celebrities, finding pertinent medical research and solid writing style. Having contacts are a plus. Writer will be given the tools and information to obtain such interviews, but experience dealing with high-profile humans is essential. The article is usually 1000 words and will be paid upon publication. Editorial is heavily involved in each article so flaky and fussy writers will not last. Writers must submit work the way the editorial department wants or the editorial department will rewrite it the way they want. Please send resume and clips.
These are just some of the jobs you can look for and these can be found on Craigslist a free website that you can search.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards,
Amanda Evans
